Officials: Four in custody in attack on homeless man
POMPANO BEACH (AP) – All four men accused of attacking a homeless man are in custody.
The Broward County Sheriff’s Office said 19-year-old Nicholas Bakum turned himself in to law enforcement Wednesday morning. Authorities said another suspect, 21-year-old Bradley Wunderlich, has been in a Broward jail since Sept. 29 on unrelated charges.
Two other people are also in custody in connection to the case. All four will face charges of kidnapping and battery.
Authorities said 54-year-old James Cunningham was attacked in early July 2008 in a parking lot. The attack was captured on video and posted on YouTube. Cunningham was not seriously injured and never contacted deputies.
