Man shoots off finger while cleaning gun
MELBOURNE, Fla. (AP) – A Melbourne man reportedly shot off his own finger while cleaning his gun.
A police spokesman says the apparent accident occurred just after noon on Tuesday. Authorities did not identify the man.
Brevard County Fire-Rescue crews responded to the home and took the man to a nearby hospital. His injuries were not considered life threatening.
