Officer arrested on teen sex charges
DAYTONA BEACH (AP) – A 44-year-old beach patrol officer in Volusia County has been arrested for alleged sexual contact with an underage girl.
Robert Tameris was taken into custody on-duty at the beach Tuesday.
Documents show the girl was 16 when she met Tameris while sunbathing on the beach. Beginning in 2007, the two allegedly had sex up to 25 times at the officer’s home.
Prosecutors say the officer recorded the two without the girl’s knowledge at least once.
