No charges after 3 hospitalized with CO poisoning
ST. PETERSBURG (AP) – Authorities say a St. Petersburg woman will not be charged after leaving a sport utility vehicle running in an apartment complex garage, which led to three people being hospitalized.
A St. Petersburg police spokesman said Wednesday that no crime was committed.
Fire crews were called to the Promenade At Carillon Apartments Sunday morning, where they discovered a total of three people showing signs of carbon monoxide poisoning.
Firefighters evacuated the complex and used a thermal imaging camera to find the source of the poisonous gas. Crews focused on one garage, cut open the door and found a vehicle inside with the engine running.
Firefighters say the vehicle had been left running by 56-year-old Sherri Diamond.
