School enrollment down for fourth year
TALLAHASSEE (AP) – Florida’s school enrollment has dropped for a fourth straight year but less than predicted.
Education officials Tuesday also said the downward trend is slowing.
Enrollment has declined by 4,400 students out of 2.6 million – less than two-tenths of 1 percent.
That compares to 36,500 students, or nearly 1.4 percent, last year.
