Extortion charges filed against victim
ST. AUGUSTINE (AP) – A 37-year-old Ponte Vedra Beach woman who says she was kidnapped and released three days later has been charged with extortion.
St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Kevin Kelshaw says Quinn Gray was arrested Wednesday. The arrest warrant calls for a $1 million bond.
Deputies arrested 25-year-old Jasmin Osmanovic on Tuesday on extortion charges after he delivered two letters to Gray’s home, saying he was owed $50,000. He also told deputies he and Gray were involved in a sexual relationship.
Osmanovic said he had known Quinn Gray for about six weeks and on the day she was went missing, she was with him and had not been kidnapped. He is being held on $100,000 bond.
