5 rescued from overturned boat
MIAMI (AP) – The U.S. Coast Guard has rescued five people from the water after their boat overturned near Haulover Inlet in Miami-Dade County.
The five were found Saturday night clinging to the overturned 25-foot boat. They were pulled from the water by U.S. Coast Guard and the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.
No one was hurt.
Officials said they were able to locate the five because they launched distress flares. All were wearing life jackets when they were rescued.
