$3,000 offered in horse killings cases

1 min read

MIAMI (AP) – The Miami-Dade Police Department is offering a reward of up to $3,000 for information that would help investigators solve a string of horse killings in the county.

Authorities say at least 17 horses have been found butchered since January. The animals’ carcasses left have been on the sides of roads or in stalls or pastures. Police have said the crimes have been tough to solve because the slaughters usually happen in rural parts of South Florida and there aren’t any witnesses.
