Burglars hit home of mayor
ST. PETERSBURG (AP) – The mayor of St. Petersburg is a crime victim.
Police said Mayor Rick Baker arrived home after a city event Thursday to find that burglars had broken into his house.
Baker got there just in time to see two suspects run out the back door and drive away in the alley with some of his electronic equipment.
Baker managed to get a license plate number, and police are looking for the perpetrators.
