State: Principal made deal in district money case
PALM BEACH GARDENS (AP) – Authorities say a South Florida high school principal must pay restitution after he acknowledged inappropriately spending several thousand dollars of school district money.
Palm Beach Gardens High School Principal Jonathan Prince has already repaid the district more than $3,000.
Officials say the 39-year-old man spent the money on dinners, gifts and hotels.
Prosecutors say he agreed to perform 100 hours of community service, acknowledge wrongdoing and repay the money.
