Reward offered for details in cat killings
MIAMI (AP) – The Humane Society is offering a $2,500 reward for information that helps authorities arrest and convict the person who is killing cats in a South Florida neighborhood.
Miami-Dade County residents discovered the dead cats last week. The animals had been maimed and their bodies were left in the yards of homes in Cutler Bay and Palmetto Bay.
Jennifer Hobgood, the Humane Society’s Florida director, says the killings are “particularly gruesome and egregious.” Local officials and police say about 20 dead cats have now been reported.
