Fires mostly contained in central Florida

ORLANDO (AP) – Firefighters are battling brush fires across central Florida.

The Florida Division of Forestry said blazes covered about 7,500 acres Saturday and roughly half were contained.

All told, forestry officials were directly managing seven active fires and were assisting with several others.
