Teacher suspected of having pot in car

NAPLES (AP) – A Collier County elementary school substitute teacher may be fired after authorities say they found suspected marijuana in her vehicle.

The Collier County Sheriff’s Office reports that Corkscrew Elementary School officials were alerted by a parent that a car in the parking lot smelled like marijuana. A deputy ran the license number and found that the car was registered to a substitute teacher at the school.

An incident report did not list the woman’s name because she was not charged.

The report says the woman turned in her school identification badge as she left the building.
