Officials search for sex assault suspects
PORT RICHEY (AP) – Pasco County Sheriff’s detectives are searching for three men who broke into a home and sexually assaulted an elderly woman.
The sheriff’s office says the men broke into the house early Wednesday morning, assaulted the 89-year-old woman in bed and ransacked her home.
The woman went to a neighbor’s home for help, and the neighbor took her to the hospital, where deputies were called. The woman has been released from the hospital and is recovering.
The woman told deputies the suspects concealed their faces, and she was unable to give a good description.
The sheriff’s office says it is possible the suspects are the same people who broke into her home last week and stole her vehicle, which was later found.
