117 arrested in 5-day immigration sweep
MIAMI (AP) – Federal immigration authorities say they arrested 117 people in a five-day sweep of Florida.
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement arrested 89 immigration fugitives who ignored lawful orders of removal and 28 other immigration violators. Officials say 30 had criminal histories.
The sweep targeted Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties and the Orlando and Tampa areas. Most were made in Miami-Dade.
