ST. PETERSBURG (AP) – Authorities say a woman working at a St. Petersburg hospital stole more than $368,000 from the center over six years.

St. Petersburg police say 40-year-old Zsamiko Walters Reid turned herself in Monday after being charged with grand theft. She was fired from Bayfront Medical Center in August after the hospital learned of the missing money. Administrators also reported her to the police, who began an investigation.

Police say that over the last six years, Reid generated checks in the names of 123 different employees, which she then converted to her own use by forging the employee names and depositing the checks in her bank account.
