Officer shot in face
MIAMI (AP) – A Miami-Dade police officer has been shot in the face after serving a search warrant. His injuries are not life-threatening.
Miami-Dade Police Director Robert Parker says the injured officer was serving a narcotics search warrant at a home Thursday when he was shot. A woman inside the home was also shot.
Parker said the officer, who was not identified, was “conscious, alert and in a lot of pain. Thank God he is going to survive this.”
The officer and the injured woman were taken to the hospital.
