MIAMI (AP) _ The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission says a 15-year-old has died after being shot by his brother in an apparent hunting accident.

The Broward County teenager died Saturday from a single gunshot wound to the head. The commission said in a news release that the teenager was duck hunting with his father and brothers on Lake Okeechobee when the accident happened

Witnesses said the teen’s 13-year-old brother attempted to set his gun down, and it discharged.

In Florida, anyone 15 and under may hunt without a hunting license as long as they are supervised by an adult. No charges have been filed.
