Inmate charged with killing cellmate
Melbourne, Fla. (AP) _ A Florida inmate has been charged with first-degree murder for killing his cellmate.
A Brevard County Grand Jury indicted 30-year-old Donte Richardo Evans on Tuesday. Authorities say Evans attacked Lorenza McCreary who died at the Brevard County Detention Center on Oct. 6. The two were housed in the same cell.
Evans was in jail awaiting trial on armed robbery charges.
Corrections officers said they found McCreary?s body on the floor of his cell during a routine head count.
