Headlee, Pace named to President’s List at Southern New Hampshire University
MANCHESTER, NH — Southern New Hampshire University congratulates the following students on being named to the Fall 2022 President’s List. The fall terms run from September to December.

Full-time undergraduate students who have earned a minimum grade-point average of 3.700 and above for the reporting term are named to the President’s List. Full-time status is achieved by earning 12 credits over each 16-week term or paired 8-week terms grouped in fall, winter/spring, and summer.

Earl named to Iowa State’s fall 2022 Dean’s List
AMES, Iowa – More than 10,200 Iowa State University students have been recognized for outstanding academic achievement by being named to the fall semester 2022 Dean’s List. Students named to the Dean’s List must have earned a grade point average of at least 3.50 on a 4.00 scale while carrying a minimum of 12 credit hours of graded course work.
Included on the list was Samuel Christopher Earl from Cape Coral who is majoring in civil engineering.

Bewighouse named to SNHU Dean’s List
MANCHESTER, NH — Kenneth Bewighouse of Cape Coral has been named to Southern New Hampshire University’s Fall 2022 Dean’s List. The fall terms run from September to December.
Full-time undergraduate students who have earned a minimum grade-point average of 3.500 to 3.699 for the reporting term are named to the Dean’s List. Full-time status is achieved by earning 12 credits over each 16-week term or paired 8-week terms grouped in fall, winter/spring, and summer.

Omicron Delta Kappa celebrates new members
LEXINGTON, VA — Omicron Delta Kappa, the National Leadership Honor Society, welcomed 1,085 new initiates from 45 universities during November 2022.
Students initiated into the society must be sophomores, juniors, seniors or graduate/professional students in the top 35% of their class, demonstrate leadership experience in at least one of the five pillars, and embrace the ODK ideals. Fewer than five percent of students on a campus are invited to join each year.
Selected to the society were Leah Lavoie of Cape Coral – Adelphi University, and Trevin Stevens of Cape Coral – University of Richmond.
Omicron Delta Kappa Society was founded in Lexington, Va, on Dec. 3, 1914. A group of 15 students and faculty members established the society to recognize and encourage leadership at the collegiate level. The founders established the ODK Idea-the concept that individuals representing all phases of collegiate life should collaborate with faculty and others to support the campus and community. ODK’s mission is to honor and develop leaders; encourage collaboration among students, faculty, staff, and alumni; and promote ODK’s leadership values of collaboration, inclusivity, integrity, scholarship, and service on college and university campuses throughout North America.
The society’s headquarters are in Lexington, Va.
Hodges University announces grand opening of dental hygiene clinic
Hodges University is answering a workforce and community need with the opening of its Dental Hygiene Clinic. The grand opening is open to the public and will be held at noon Monday, Jan. 30. The clinic is located within Building U on the Hodges University campus, 4501 Colonial Blvd., Fort Myers.
Patients will receive oral health screenings, preventative dental cleanings and, if needed, digital X-rays. Dental cleaning prices start at $30 for children up to age 16, and $40 for adults. X-Rays range from $15 to $40. Future services will include periodontal scaling/root planning, fluoride treatments, and tooth sealants.
Starting in February, the Hodges University Dental Hygiene Clinic will be open on Mondays from 1:30-5:30 p.m.; and Wednesdays and Thursdays from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Appointments can be made by calling 239-938-7787. Hodges University welcomed its first class of dental hygiene students into the program in August. This program is the first and only entry level bachelor’s degree dental hygiene program in the state of Florida. Dental hygienists with a bachelor’s degree can provide expert dental hygiene care to patients, and also become instructors for dental hygiene programs at the associate degree level. Additional career options range from dental sales and research to consulting and wellness coaching.
