Legion Post 90’s Blalock wins a national award

Ben Blalock, the Service Officer for the American Legion Post 90 in Cape Coral, received the Lifetime Membership Award at the American Association of Police Polygraphists national conference in Phoenix, Arizona, on June 7.
Blalock received the honor, awarded to a past AAPP president, because of his extraordinary and outstanding service to the American Association of Police Polygraphists. The award required a two-thirds majority of the Board of Directors’ nomination and approval by a majority vote of the membership at an annual meeting.
The AAPP was established and is dedicated to bringing together international, federal, state, local and tribal law enforcement professionals from throughout the country and other parts of the world. The AAPP’s mission is to advance the latest training and technology in the field and is built on the exchange of ideas between its members and law enforcement agencies.
Blalock is a U.S. Army veteran and a former interrogation and counterintelligence soldier, special agent, government employee and contractor in the intelligence field. He also served as a Czech, Russian and Spanish linguist.
American Legion Post 90 in Cape Coral was founded in April 2001. The post offers a full canteen and food service at 1401 S.E. 47th St., and sponsors scholarships, Boy Scout and Girl Scout troops, blood drives, VA volunteers and emergency funds programs to assist veterans in need.
