Cape Museum of History to present ‘Get Your Kicks on Route 66’

The Cape Coral Museum of History will present “Get Your Kicks on Route 66” Friday, Oct. 7, from 6:30-10:30 p.m.
Sponsored by the Gunterberg Charitable Foundation, the event will celebrate another unique Rosen brothers advertising method for the city of Cape Coral. To help promote the then developing community in the 1960s, the Rosens brought the production company and cast for the TV series Route 66 to the Cape, where two episodes were filmed.
There will be food and cocktails and a showing of the two episodes filmed here.
The cost is $20 per person and includes food and two drink tickets. Only 150 tickets will be sold. Event sponsorships are available.
A pre-show with food and drinks at the museum will run from 6:30-7:30 p.m.
From 8-10:30 p.m., the episode viewing will take place along with a silent auction area at Cultural Park Theater.
The Cape Coral Museum of History is located at 544 Cultural Park Blvd., Cape Coral. Cultural Park Theater is right next door at 528 Cultural Park Blvd.
