Public Service Grants available for non-profit organizations
Non-profit organizations in Lee County are invited to apply for Public Service Grants, valued up to $15,000, from the Lee County Injury Prevention Coalition. Grants are being offered through the auspices of Lee County Emergency Management.
The grants are for a non-profit organization in Lee County and are for health and/or safety initiatives. The grants are for a new or expansion project that is directed at a clearly defined audience and a documented injury or safety issue. The grant must be sustainable beyond the grant year.
All awarded funds must be received by a non-profit organization and recipients are to attend an Injury Prevention Coalition meeting following receipt of the award to discuss the outcome, successes or challenges and future direction.
Applications for the grants must be received by July 1, 2022. A budget and timeline for distribution of the funds should be included as well as how the project will be sustainable. Applications are available through the Injury Prevention Coalition at ipcleecounty@mail.com.
The Lee County Injury Prevention Coalition serves as a collaborative effort or partnership whose function is to facilitate partners’ work and act as a catalyst for injury prevention initiatives. Its mission is to prevent injury, disability, and death through advocacy, education, legislation, and partnerships.
