The Florida Repertory Theatre will hold auditions for non-union and EMC performers local to Fort Myers and Southwest Florida.

Auditions are scheduled for Sunday, June 26, from noon to 5 p.m., and Monday, June 27, from 3-8 p.m., in the theatre’s new rehearsal and administrative complex at 1415 Hendry St. in the Fort Myers River District.

Auditioning performers should visit the casting call page on the theatre’s website to sign up for a five-minute appointment. The theater web address is: https://www.floridarep.org/about-florida-rep/casting-calls/.

Local non-union and EMC performers will be considered for open roles and understudy opportunities in the theatre’s newly-announced 2022-2023 season as well as roles in the 2023 PlayLab Festival scheduled for next spring.

Florida Repertory Theatre is a fully professional theatre company that employs members of Actors’ Equity Association and members of its Ensemble of Artists, but each season is able to cast a select number of roles from its Acting Intern Company as well as the local community of artists.

Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the theatre hasn’t held a local audition since the summer of 2019.

Auditioning performers should prepare two brief monologues or one monologue and one song, if they plan to sing. An accompanist will be provided. Performers should visit the Casting Call page in the About Us section at the theatre’s website to sign up for an audition timeslot at https://www.floridarep.org/about-florida-rep/casting-calls/.

COVID Safety Notice: Florida Repertory Theatre is a fully vaccinated workplace, and all performers must be fully vaccinated per CDC guidelines in order to work at Florida Rep. Proof of vaccination IS NOT required for the audition.

The theatre asks performers to follow any posted COVID safety guidelines, not to come to the theatre if they are feeling ill, and to remain masked while inside the building. Performers may remove their mask while auditioning.
