Dog Show Extravaganza at Lee Civic Center this weekend

By Staff | Mar 17, 2022

The Greater Fort Myers Dog Club Inc. will hold its second annual Dog Show Extravaganza at the Lee Civic Center, starting today, March 18, and continuing Saturday and Sunday, March 19-20.

An AKC conformation show will be held each day along with Updog, Dock Diving, Fast Cat Coursing, American Temperament Testing, the Lee County Sheriff’s Animal Cruelty task force, and local animal rescue groups.

Every year a portion of our show proceeds goes to three local area shelters. The show is sponsored by local family owned and operated Powerhouse Dog Supply & Training and includes several vendors and food vendors.

Each day of the show will feature over 600 dogs entered representing over 130 different breeds. There will also be a puppy and junior handling competition.

Admission to the show is free and parking is $5.

The Lee Civic Center is located at 11831 Bayshore Road, at the intersection of State Route 31, in North Fort Myers.
