By Staff | Dec 29, 2021

The Gulf Coast Writers Association is accepting entries for its 2022 Writing Contest.

If you write fiction, nonfiction, poetry, or children’s stories, they want to read it. The contest is open to the public and they have a youth section to encourage writers 11-17 years old. Enter for a chance to win and be published on the Gulf Coast Writers Website. All submissions must be in by Jan. 31.

The entry fee is $20/$10/$5 depending on how many submissions. Look for guidelines and entry forms at: gulfwriters.org.

Looking to self-publish your book?

The Gulf Coast Writers Association will kick off the year with guest speaker and local author, Stephen J. McGuire. Having self-published his book, “Prior-Restraint,” in January 2021, McGuire will share his experience and the drive it takes to finish what you’ve started. The meeting will be held from 10 a.m. to noon, Jan. 15 at Word of Life Church, 6111 South Pointe Blvd. in Fort Myers. For more info. go to: Gulfwriters.org or call 770-906-7885.
