Nothing says fall like a bonfire and some live music, and that’s exactly what the city of Cape Coral is bringing to Sun Splash this Saturday.

Country music stars including Russell Dickerson, Ben Gallaher and Caroline Jones will perform at the Sun Splash Festival Grounds Saturday night at the “Big Ol’ Bonfire Concert.” Gates open at 6 p.m., concert starts at 6:30 and bonfire at 8:15. The outdoor music event promises to provide attendees with a great night of tunes, food and fun.

“What a great way to celebrate as we continue to return to normal,” said Cape Coral Special Events Coordinator Todd King. “We’re excited to be able to put on this concert and make this the premier musical event in Cape Coral. What better way to get ready for Thanksgiving celebration than to come together here for a great concert and bonfire.”

General admission tickets start at $20 — and buy-one-get-one tickets are available for first responders, medical personnel, veterans and active-duty military. Buy-one-get-one tickets apply to general admission tickets only, and can only be purchased at the gates on the date of the event, or at the City Hall Offices from the Parks & Recreation Department on the second floor (limit of one BOGO per person).

Regular tickets can be purchased online at www.capeconcerts.com and at the gates on Saturday.

“We’re excited that Russell Dickerson is coming down to headline,” King added, as Dickerson recently presented at the CMAs and has multiple songs charting in the country world. “We’re continuing to come back after the pandemic.”

The Cape Coral Fire Department will be controlling the bonfire, which will be fenced off to the public.

“We think it has a really nice fall feel and is the right fit heading into the holiday season,” King said. “We look forward to seeing the community come out and have a great time.”
