Lee County Community Band to present New Year Band Bash Jan. 12
Celebrate the arrival of 2020 with the Lee County Community Band as the 50-member ensemble presents a New Year Band Bash on Sunday, Jan. 12. The band will play lively marches, up-tempo dance tunes, old favorites, and more beginning at 3 p.m. at Cape Coral High School.
Under the direction of Richard Bradstreet, the band will perform a Tribute to Irving Berlin, Big Bands in Concert, a medley of familiar tunes including “For Me and My Gal” and “Pretty Baby”, then feature Norman Jones singing Vienna, City of My Dreams.
The band performs six concerts between November and April; all take place at Cape Coral High School, 2300 Santa Barbara Boulevard, beginning at 3 p.m. The concerts are free (donations welcome) and open to the public.
