Pilot Club Quarter Auction set for Feb. 26 at the Shell Factory

By Staff | Feb 20, 2019

The public is invited to have fun during a “quarter auction” to be held at The Shell Factory on Tuesday, Feb. 26. The event will be held beginning at 11 a.m.in the Dolphin Room. It is being sponsored by the Pilot Club of Fort Myers, Children’s Network of Southwest Florida, and The Shell Factory and Nature Park.

Quarter auctions are games where bidders play for prizes valued at $25 to $50 and more. Players have an opportunity to go home with fantastic prizes and the proceeds go to the sponsors. There is no admission charge and players can decide if they want to bid on any of the items being offered by both vendors and the charities involved.

The Shell Factory is offering a special luncheon menu that can be served during the actual auction; although reservations are not required, they are requested and may be made by calling 239-995-3999. All attendees will receive two free passes to the Nature Park.

The focus of the Pilot Club of Fort Myers is helping organizations seeking to improve the quality of life for individuals with brain-related disorders through volunteer activities, education, and financial support. The club name came from a riverboat pilot who could steer safely through troubled waters. The club’s motto is “do more, care more, and be more.” For information about the Pilot Club, contact the president, Fran D’Alessandro, 239-332-1140.
