Cape Coral Lions to hold charity poker tournament

By Staff | Jan 31, 2019

The Cape Coral Lions Club is hosting its second annual Texas Hold’Em Poker Tournament Saturday, Feb. 9, to raise money for the club’s ongoing charity work helping people with vision and hearing challenges.

In addition to the tournament with cash prizes of $750, $300 and $150, attendees will enjoy a buffet dinner and can participate in a 50/50 raffle and silent auction. Player tickets are $60 and dinner only tickets are $20. The tournament will be held in Terrace Hall, 1313 S.E. 47th Terrace, Cape Coral. Dinner is at 5 p.m. with the tournament starting at 6:30 p.m.

Get tickets online at www.capecorallionsclub.com/events-1 or call Frank Lee at 214-695-4180.

Cape Coral Lions provide preschool vision and hearing screenings, as well as adult diabetes screenings, all free of charge; they collect, recycle and distribute eyeglasses to needy people all over the world; and they also work closely with the Southwest Florida Council of the Blind, recently providing “sighted elves” to help those with vision loss do their Christmas shopping.

The club meets the first and third Thursday (September through May) at 5 p.m. at Perkins Restaurant, 1502 Cape Coral Parkway, in South Cape Coral. Visitors are always welcome.
