Crosspoint Christian Church to hold grand opening of new worship center with food drive
This Sunday, Crosspoint Christian Church in Cape Coral will be celebrating the grand opening of its new 18,000-square-foot worship center and has challenged those attending to bring at least one can of food each to benefit the Cape Coral Caring Center, a local non-profit that helps feed families in Cape Coral.
Lead Pastor Jeff Swearingen said, “We know that in our community, there are people every day who don’t know how they are going to feed their children. We want to do something to help change that. So, we are hoping to collect at least 1,000 canned goods as we celebrate the opening of our new facility.”
Serving the community has been an integral part of Crosspoint since its inception in 2006. The church, which originally started meeting in the auditorium of Mariner High School, has participated in various service opportunities including picking up trash at local football games and roadways, providing free water bottles to drivers at intersections, Habitat for Humanity, soup kitchens, hurricane relief efforts and many more.
The Grand Opening/Canned Food drive will take place Sept. 23, at 9:30 and 11 a.m., at Crosspoint, located at 204 SW 11th Place in Cape Coral. For more information on Crosspoint, visit crosspointcape.com
