Cape Coral Art League to hold ‘Art thru the Lens’ show

The Cape Coral Art League will be holding its “Art thru the Lens” show, Starting Thursday, Jan. 5, with a reception and running through Monday, Jan. 23.

This is a judged show and is open to all Cape Coral Art League members and non-members.

The show chairs are Carmen Sprague and Dee Fehlberg. The judge is Andrew West.

This show is for photographs only and must be created by the artist. Photographs must have been taken within the last two years.

Works that have received an award higher than honorable mention at a CCAL show are not eligible.

Any kind of photography is allowed, as long as it is done by the participating artist. Show participants may bring up to 3 works to be displayed for sale in the gallery.

Works must be thoroughly dry and suitably framed or gallery wrapped with staple free edges that are not white. They must have a wire in the back for hanging that does not come higher than 3 inches from the top of the painting (will not show when hung). Works must not exceed 52 x 52 inches or equivalent including frame. Framed works larger than (16 x 20) must be framed using plexi-glass/acrylic or regular glass.

Award winners must be present or represented at the opening. Award recipients will be notified by the show chair. The number of entries and judging costs will determine prizes.

The cost for Cape Coral Art League members is $20. The fee for non-members is $30. All entries are to remain in the gallery until the show is officially closed.
