More Do The Right Thing winners
The “Do The Right Thing” ceremony for May 2016 was held Wednesday in City Council Chambers.
Thirteen Cape Coral students will be recognized.
The guest speaker was Fox4 news reporter Malcolm Johnson.

Gabriel came up with the idea to collect stuffed animals for our first responders to give to children when they go on a call. Gabriel went to the owner of the Palace Roller Rink Inc. in North Fort Myers to help him set up a drive. He collected 137 stuffed animals of which 62 went to CCPD.

Christa McAuliffe Elementary
Savannah has been a volunteer for the Wounded Warrior Anglers since the organization began five years ago. She has helped out at the WWA’s big fishing tournaments, boat raffle and its big golf tournament. She has helped with so many events that they have made her an honorary member.

Kennisa and Charlotte found money in a zip-top bag. On their way to turn the money in they saw a teacher comforting a student who seemed upset. It turned out the money that they found belonged to that student.

Oasis Middle
Jacob volunteers at the Oasis Elementary School office every day for an hour assisting the staff with anything they need. Jacob is able to work independently and is a role model for others.
