Hope United Presbyterian
flea market Saturday
Hope United Presbyterian Church, located at the intersection of Hickory Drive and U.S. 41, will repeat it popular monthly flea market Saturday, April 9
Individuals, businesses, organizations and churches can rent a space for $20 and keep all the proceeds from their sales. There are only 28 spaces available and advance paid reservations are advised. Set up begins each flea market Saturday at 7 a.m., with sales open to the public from 8 a.m. to noon.
This is the 5th year of operation of this flea market and sellers have raised substantial funds from the sale of unneeded items, craft items, jewelry, produce, toys, computers, baked goods, pies, cookies or items you no longer need.
The church is located on the east side of U.S. 41, 2 miles south of Alico Road or one mile north of Estero Parkway.

Saint Michael Lutheran School to present
‘Peter Pan Jr.’ April 21-22
Saint Michael Lutheran School will stage two student performances of Disney’s “Peter Pan Jr.” this month.
The cast includes students from Saint Michael Lutheran School grades 3-8. The performances will take place at school at 7 p.m., Thursday, April 21, and Friday, April 22.
Tickets are $10 and will be available at the door.
Saint Michael Lutheran School is at 3595 Broadway, Fort Myers. The performance will take place in the gym.

Ordinary Mortals and Divine Immortality Continuing the Conversation on the Tuesday Together Being Mortal series. Join participants Thursdays April 14, 21 and 28 in Hunt Chapel from 3-4 p.m. to explore the issues surrounding our faith, mortality, and questions about the journey to immortality.
Sunday, April 24, is Youth Sunday. Faith youth will be leading worship at all three services. Come see this year’s Confirmation Class as the youth lead the congregation in “3 as 1.”

Tikvat Shalom Messianic Jewish Congregation Community Passover Seder set for April 23
The Tikvat Shalom Messianic Jewish Congregation is hosting a Community Passover Seder Saturday, April 23, at 6 p.m.
The event will be held at the Wesleyan Diplomat Church, 1833 Diplomat Parkway, East, in Cape Coral.
A $15 prepaid registration is required and includes a chicken and roasted potato dinner. The deadline to register is March 23.

Golden Halo Awards April 29
For the 10th consecutive year, the Christian Chamber of Southwest Florida will present the Annual Golden Halo Awards to be held on Friday, April 29, at 6 p.m., at the St. Leo’s Parish Life Center, which is located at 28290 Beaumont Road, Bonita Springs.
The Golden Halo Awards honors the surrounding communities’ top teachers in local Christian Schools. The banquet will be held to honor the top 12 finalists from the Christian school nominees.
The goal of this event is to bring the community together to show these teachers that they are appreciated.

‘Love My Thrifty Fashions’ show
at the Christian Women’s Connection of Cape Coal meeting
The Christian Women’s Connection of Cape Coral invite all ladies to its “Love My Thrifty Fashions” Breakfast Monday, April 11, at the Palmetto Country Club, 1940 S.W. 9th Court in Cape Coral. The breakfast will run from 9:30-11:30 a.m. and the cost is $17, inclusive.
The breakfast will feature one of the group’s most popular events, “A Thrifty Fashion Show.” Participants shop for an outfit in consignment stores and then model it in the fashion show. It’s always a treat to see the outfits and discover who was the thriftiest shopper.
Inspirational speaker Christine Sporrer, who is of Ukranian heritage and an author of praise poetry, will share a story of hope when circumstances seem bleak.
Providing the entertainment will be singer Debbie Mercer.
