* Bluegrass Jamboree at Cape Coral Historical Museum

The Cape Coral Historical Museum launches a first for Cape Coral on Jan. 30, with an open-air Bluegrass Jamboree and barbecue on the grounds of the museum at 544 Cultural Park Boulevard. The Jamboree a family-friendly afternoon of fun and food is a fundraiser for the Museum, which for more than 30 years has worked to preserve the history of Cape Coral.

The Bluegrass Jamboree presents three well-known local bands that have performed throughout Florida: Cypress Hollow, Banyan Bluegrass and Bugtussle Ramblers. The program emcee is Dick Spottswood, host of the “The Dick Spottswood Show.”

Tickets are $10 in advance; $15 at the gate; VIP tickets $30 (includes food & drink) Purchase tickets online at www.capecoralmuseum.org; and at the museum.

The museum is open Wednesdays and Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

* At the Dixie Roadhouse

The Dixie Roadhouse is offering a “dinner & a show” concert series. General admission tickets are $10. VIP tickets for tables of four are $100 and include admission, prime rib buffet and a bottle of Champagne. The next concert is Jumping Jack Flash, a Rolling Stones Tribute Band, 6 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 24. Call 541-7900 for more information. The Dixie Roadhouse is at 1023 S.E. 47th Terrace.

* The Screaming Orphans at Alliance

The Rotary Club of Fort Myers is bringing The Screaming Orphans back to Fort Myers on Saturday, Jan. 30, for an outdoor concert at the Alliance for the Arts.

Comprised of four sisters from Ireland, The Screaming Orphans are known for their high-energy music that blends pop rock with traditional Irish music. The concert benefits the Rotary Trust Fund.

Gates for the outdoor concert open at 6 p.m. Kilt the Messenger performs at 6:30 p.m. There will be a special performance by Abby Fletcher before the Screaming Orphans take the stage at 7:30 p.m. Early-sale tickets are $25 and tickets are $35 after Jan. 1. A tent, table for eight including wine and family-style barbecue is available for $1,500. Kids under 12 are free with an adult. Lawn chairs and blankets are encouraged. No coolers please.
