Garden Club of Cape Coral to meet Wednesday; Feb. 20 trip planned
This Wednesday, Jan. 13, at 7 p.m., the Garden Club of Cape Coral is hosting a presentation by Dr. Mongi Zekri, University of Florida, IFAS Multi-County Citrus Agent. The topic is “Selecting Citrus Varieties and How to Care for your Trees.”
On Feb. 20, the Garden Club has scheduled a bus tour to Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden, Coral Gables. The trip is open to the public. Departure is at 7 a.m. from Coralwood Mall, Cape Coral, and the bus will leave the garden at 3 p.m. The cost is $53, which includes the bus and entrance to the Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden. Please make your check payable to Garden Club of Cape Coral and send to The Garden Club of Cape Coral, PO Box 152022, Cape Coral, Florida 33915. The deadline for reservations is Jan. 30 and the cost is nonrefundable. Lunch may be purchased at the Garden Caf which shares a wall with the new butterfly house or you may bring your own lunch.
