Christ Lutheran
The Epiphany of Our Lord will be celebrated at the liturgies this weekend.
Epiphany means “manifestation.” On this day we celebrate the revelation of Christ to the Gentiles – that is, to all nations. Some Christian traditions celebrate three great epiphanies on this day: the magi’s adoration of the Christ child, Jesus’ baptism in the Jordan River and his first miracle, in which he changes water into wine. The word and sacraments are for us the great epiphany of God’s grace and mercy. We go forth to witness to the light that shines brightly in our midst.
Saturday the Eucharist is celebrated at 5:30 p.m. Sunday, the Eucharist is at 9 a.m. At the end of the 9 a.m. Eucharist, the congregation will process to the front doors to bless the church for the coming year.

Olive Tree Gathering
Olive Tree Gathering, a Messianic congregation in Cape Coral, begins services Saturday, Jan. 2, at 10:30 a.m., at Hope United Methodist Church, 2006 Chiquita Blvd., S., Cape Coral.
Built on the Romans 11 model – both Jew and Gentile, truly one in Messiah. Non-Jews and Jews are equal partners in the promise given – to be a co-heir and equal participant in the Commonwealth of Israel.
For more information, call 239-240-2719
Olive Tree Gathering’s vision is to know God the Father through Messiah Yeshua (Jesus), in intimate connection, becoming one with Him through prayer, worship and loving obedience to His will. From that oneness we then are to become one with each other, living in a loving community, laying down our lives for one another and must then reach out to our world through tangible acts of compassionate service, helping others to find God and be prepared to live in relationship with Him for eternity.
The church’s mission is to build a mature spiritual community based on the Bible alone, including the biblical practices of loving God and our neighbors, making disciples by teaching the Bible as the inspired Word of God, becoming true worshippers and reaching out to those in need. The name “Olive Tree” is a reference to Romans 11 where we see God’s special nation, Israel, referred to as an olive tree, through which a nourishing sap flows to all who will connect to the tree.
