* * South Cape Black Friday &?Black Dress event
The South Cape Hospitality and Entertainment Associations will present the 4th Annual “South Cape Black Friday &?Black Dress event on Friday, Nov. 27, from 7 to 11 p.m.
Some of the South Cape’s best restaurants and bars come together to offer a unique way to unwind after a day of crowds and shopping. Participating locations will offer a $2.50 drink special to participants as they travel on a fleet of trolleys around the South Cape. There will also be a black dress drawing for a necklace from Zak’s Jewelry. In addition to the drink specials and the black dress drawing, many of the stops will have live music and/or other specials for you to enjoy.

At each stop, participants will have their passport stamped, no purchase necessary-but you must have your passport stamped at every location. At the end of the evening, turn in your completed passport to be eligible for over $1,000 in prizes, including a 43″ TV! Attendees of this event must be at least 21 years old. The check-in booths open from 6 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. and will be located in Club Square, and Big John Plaza. Attendees may park either in Club Square or Big John Plaza and then ride the trolleys to all the other locations.
* * Season of Giving” Breakfast Buffet
The Christian Women’s Connection of Cape Coral invites all ladies to their “Season of Giving” Breakfast Buffet on Monday, Dec. 7, at the Palmetto Pine Country Club, 1940 SW 9th Court in Cape Coral. (West on SW 19thLane off Skyline) The breakfast is from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and the cost is $17, inclusive.

Ginny Sexton will be the inspirational speaker. Her theme is “The Girl with the Curls..” It’s a message of hope, encouragement and ultimate joy.
Community Awareness will feature Joyce Jacobs of the Harry Chapin Food Bank and Melanie Musick of Lifeline Family Center. We will hear how these two organizations serve our community. In the spirit of this Season of Giving, they will be presented with donated items.

* * Sears Hometown Store Make-A-Wish drive
The Cape Coral Sears Hometown Store is joining more than 1,200 Sears retailers holiday campaign with Make-A-Wish. Called “Season of Wishes,” the funds raised in the campaign will allow Make-A-Wish to help more children with life-threatening medical conditions experience the powerful, and oftentimes, life-changing impact of a fulfilled wish.

* Today, Wednesday, Nov. 25, is Wish Wednesday Customers are encouraged to donate $5 to Make-A-Wish in order to take advantage of the locations’ Black Friday Deals early (from 5 p.m. 8 p.m.), avoiding the chaos and long lines while supporting a cause.
*A Very Merry Santa Sale at Sears Hometown Stores and Sears Outlet Stores Customers who donate $5 to Make-A-Wish will receive an extra 10 percent off everything storewide; valid at Sears Hometown Stores from Dec. 17-24.

n Santa to arrive at Coconut Point
Santa Claus is coming to Coconut Point on Friday, Nov. 20. The free festive event kicks off at 5 p.m. with crafts, live entertainment, a bounce house and delicious treats through 7 p.m.
At 6 p.m., Santa will celebrate the season with the official lighting of the holiday tree, located between Tommy Bahama and Bebe. Coconut Point at 23106 Fashion Dr., Estero.
** Celebrate the Holidays at Six Bends
Six Bends will kick off the holiday season with a tree lighting ceremony and photos with Santa on Nov. 29 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. This event is open to the community and all are welcome to join in on this family friendly celebration. The event will take place around The Plaza where Santa will be available for photos with guests and children while carolers sing along to holiday favorites. Later in the evening, guests are invited to enjoy the annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony showcasing an oversized, beautifully decorated tree designed to light up the night sky at Six Bends. In addition to the ceremony, food and refreshments will also be available.

* * Holiday Festival of Lights
The Holiday Festival of Lights will be held from 4 to 10 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 5, along Cape Coral Parkway, Downtown Cape Coral between Southeast 15th Ave (Wendy’s) and Candia St (Burger King).
Title sponsored by CenturyLink, the Festival of Lights is the largest Holiday celebration between Tampa and Miami. Over 20,000 family, friends and neighbors will gather together to ring in the holiday season. Lots of holiday fun including the official tree lighting and Santa’s arrival, free Kidz Street play area, Tiny Tots Train ride, 25 ton Snowdrift Slide, over 20 holiday performances on four stages, three food courts of festival foods, beer and soda. More than 40 businesses and organizations are expected to take part with lots of giveaways and special offers.
