Halloween!
* Mike Greenwell’s Haunted Hike
For the 24th year, Mike Greenwell’s on Pine Island Road is holding its Haunted Hike.
The Hike continues Oct. 30 and 31. This event starts at dark each of these nights. The Haunted Hike is intense and intended to be scary.
The General Admission ticket is $10 and our Fast Pass VIP ticket is $15. There are no refunds or exchanges on these tickets. Special Event parking is $2.
Mike Greenwell’s 24th annual Safe Trick or Treat will be held on Oct. 30 this year from 5 to 8 p.m. This is a free event for kids 12 and under.
Make sure to wear costumes and bring goodie bags along! Greenwell’s will accept donations of pet food for local animal shelters. There is $2 Special Event parking.
* Halloween Knight’
The Knights of Columbus St. Andrew Council #7131 is having a Halloween party free of charge for children accompanied by a parent or legal guardian on Saturday, Oct. 31, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the St. Andrew Parish Hall, 2628 Del Prado Blvd.
Candy, hot dogs, chips and salsa for the children. Prizes for the best costumes and games for the kids to play.
* Halloween Yappy Hour
The Gulf Coast Humane Society will be having Halloween fun at its monthly Yappy Hour. All dogs and their handlers are invited to join in on the fun on Oct.31 at a special time of 4-6 p.m. The event will be held at Cape Harbour, at 5785 Cape Harbour Dr. in Cape Coral.
Bring out your furry friend in their best Halloween costumes to enter for a chance to win a special prize. GCHS will have adoptable dogs available to meet potential new families. T-shirts will be available for sale and attendees can meet and visit with GCHS adoptable dogs looking for their forever home.
Come and enjoy the evening as a selection of vendors will be set up to promote their businesses and Fathoms Restaurant and Bar, with The French Press Cafe will provide beer, wine during the event. Proceeds from beverage and T-shirt sales will benefit GCHS.
* Calusa Nature Center & Planetarium Haunted Walk
Calusa Nature Center & Planetarium will hold its 31st Annual Haunted Walk rhough Oct. 31. Open for Ticket Sales from 7 – 9 p.m. (on weekends may stay open longer if demand persists). Admission is $10 per person (regardless of age) Organizers stress the walk is not recommended for anyone under 16. Proceeds will benefit all facets of the Calusa Nature Center & Planetarium.
* Gulf Coast Symphony to offer ‘Halloween at Hogwarts’
The Gulf Coast Symphony will launch its 21st season with the family-friendly Halloween at Hogwarts event on Oct. 31, at the Barbara B. Mann Performing Arts Hall. Dive into the magic as the Gulf Coast Symphony musicians don their best costumes and invite you to wear yours, too!
At 1 p.m., enjoy safe trick-or-treating and learn about the instruments of the orchestra at the Musical Discovery Zone in the lobby. Also, kids are encouraged to participate in a costume contest with prizes! At 2 p.m, the Gulf Coast Symphony will perform selections from the Harry Potter movie series and other family-friendly pieces in the theatre.
