Temple Beth Shalom donates over 700 pounds of food, toiletries to Cape Coral Caring Center
The Jewish New Year began Sept. 13 and ended Sept. 23. During all the days and religious services, Temple Beth Shalom congregants brought over 700 pounds of non-perishable foods and toiletries to the synagogue.
Then, on Oct. 5, Brotherhood leader Joel Barlow, Larry Epstein and Nate Blyveis brought these collected foods to the Cape Coral Caring Center, which is run by Julie Ferguson, Wendy Wooten and a large host of volunteers.
The caring center administers to local people who are very much in need. This annual event is supplemented with a portion of the profits from the Temple Beth Shalom Brotherhood Golf Tournament that occurs every spring. Together, we are proud to help the less fortunate of our community.
