Greeting Pope Francis

As a member of the USCCB Administrative Committee, the Most Rev. Frank J. Dewane, Bishop of the Diocese of Venice in Florida, was one of the few bishops able to greet Pope Francis following a prayer service and talk at St. Matthew the Apostle Cathedral in Washington, D.C., on Sept. 23. Bishop De-wane later attended the Mass of Canonization of Junipero Serra, Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception. He was set to travel to Philadelphia Thursday and attend the World Meeting of Families and connect with people from the Diocese of Venice.
