Abiding Love Lutheran Church

Easter for Kids, ages 3-11, will be held Saturday, March 21, 9:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. The kids will be making crafts, singing songs, hunting eggs and learning the true meaning of Easter. Lunch is included and each child will receive a gift bag. There will be a program for the parents at 1:15 p.m.

Cape Baptist Church

All 7th-12th graders are invited to come to the church’s Impact Youth Group. It meets every Wednesday evening from 6:30-8. The group plays games, enjoys snacks and learns how God wants teens to live their lives.

Kids ages 3 years old through 6th grade are welcome to visit the church each Thursday from 6:30-8 p.m., for AWANA Youth Clubs. The club plays games and learns about Jesus.

Cape Coral Community Church

Cape Coral Community Church will hold a GriefShare recovery seminar and support group Tuesdays, from 6-8 p.m., through May 12. The church is at 811 Santa Barbara Blvd., Cape Coral.

GriefShare sessions include a video featuring nationally recognized experts on grief, and group discussions focused on those who have lost a loved one through death. Seminar sessions include “The Journey of Grief,” “The Challenges of Grief,” “Guilt and Anger” and “Why?” Attendance at any point is welcome.

GriefShare is a special seminar and support group for people grieving the loss of someone close. The group meets every Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. Each GriefShare session includes a video seminar and group discussion. GriefShare is a nondenominational group and features biblical teaching on grief and recovery topics. Each session is “self-contained” so you do not have to attend in sequence. Questions? DivorceCare is a special weekly seminar and support group for people who are separated or divorced. CCFUMC will be offering this Biblically based 13 week support group on Tuesday nights from 6-8 in room 152. Child care is available upon advanced request. Christ Lutheran Church

The fourth of the Old Testament promises providing a baptismal lens this Lent is the promise God makes to Moses: those who look on the bronze serpent will live. In today’s gospel, Jesus says he will be lifted up on the cross like the serpent, so that those who look to him in faith will live. When we receive the sign of the cross in baptism, that cross becomes the sign we can look to in faith, for healing, for restored relationship to God, for hope when we are dying.

Eucharists for the Fourth Sunday in Lent will be celebrated Saturday evening at 5:30 and Sunday morning at 9 and 11. The 9 a.m. liturgy is a Family Liturgy, there is a special message for children and youth and Sunday School is offered for children age 3 through 5th grade. After the 9 a.m. liturgy, the women are host an omelet-in-a-bag breakfast.

The Fourth Wednesday Lenten service is Wednesday at noon and 6:30 p.m. An informal service of soup, hymns, guided conversation and communion will be held in Hafer Hall. This week the guided conversation is “We Are Church for the Sake of the World” focusing on our call to service.

Evangelical Presbyterian Church

Join EPC this Sunday as Pastor Brent Lauder continues in his Living as Exiles: A Study on 1 Peter series. “Holy Land Promise & Conflict” continues March 24, at 6:20 p.m., in the Sanctuary. The lecture series is part of Tuesday’s Together. The church’s Missionary of the Month is Dr. Cornelius Hegeman, an academic dean of Miami International Seminary (MINTS). He supervised distance education for pastors around the world. He travels extensively throughout Latin America, teaching classes to pastors of churches who lack a desirable level of education. Regular seminary-level courses are offered in all areas, and degrees are awarded as the students advance to higher levels of learning. The pastors then teach others courses so that the program is growing exponentially.

On Wednesday, March 25, musician Morrie Reece will present “Music of the Seventies” at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Fort Myers.

Reece is a talented musician who works with the electronic synthesizer to produce a wide variety of music.
