Cape Coral United Methodist Church to feature retreat, World Day of Prayer service
Yvonne F. Conte, a nationally known inspirational speaker, humorist and author, will be the speaker at the 7th Annual Women’s Retreat, presented by the United Methodist Women of the Cape Coral United Methodist Church, Saturday, Feb. 28, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
The retreat, “How Sweet It Is – To Be Loved By God,” will be light-hearted and spiritually-based, and is a non-denominational offering for women of all ages. There will be group interactions and discussions, praise music and testimonies, in addition to the keynote speaker.
Conte is the creator and director of the “Day of Joy Conference,” and is working to expand her ministry of her non-profit organization the Day of Joy Inc. to the Fort Myers area.
A registration fee of $20 includes breakfast, lunch, snacks and program materials. Free child care will be provided, if needed.

The Church Women United of Lee County will hold a World Day of Prayer, open to all Christian women, Friday, March 6.
Registration is at 9:30 a.m. with the service at 10, at Cape Coral First United Methodist Church, 4118 Coronado Blvd. Contact Beulah at 239-574-7748 by Tuesday, March 3, to RSVP.
Lunch is $6; those attending can pay at door.
