Drug House Odyssey Feb. 17-19 at Cape Christian Fellowship
The Lee County Coalition for a Drug-Free Southwest Florida has announced that Drug House Odyssey A Lee County Prevention Event has been scheduled for Feb. 17, 18 and 19, at Cape Christian Fellowship, 2110 Chiquita Blvd., Cape Coral.
Drug House Odyssey is a walk-through play that illustrates the deadly results of drinking and driving. All three days, Drug House Odyssey is open by reservation for area fifth grade classes.
Family Night is planned for Feb. 18 from 5:30-7:30 p.m., and is free and open to the public, with no reservations are needed.
Drug House Odyssey is made possible by the Busey Bank Run for Prevention, and is sponsored by Lee Memorial Health System, the Cape Coral Police Department and the Lee County Sheriff’s Office.
Since 1989, this event has been unique in that it involves the actual community heroes in each scene, including law enforcement professionals, doctors and nurses, judges and attorneys, and first responders.
Over 35 agencies and organizations come together for this prevention event, including The Lee County Sheriff’s Office, the Cape Coral Police Department, the Fort Myers Police Department, the Cape Coral Fire Department, Lee County Emergency Medical Services, the Lee County School District,, the Lee Memorial Health System Trauma Department, the Lee County Metropolitan Planning Agency, the 20th Circuit State Attorney’s Office, Lee County Emergency Management, the Cape Coral CERT Team, the LCSO VOICE Volunteers, Stay Alive Just Drive. Street Chicks in Recovery, SalusCare, Lutheran Services of Florida, the Hanley Center and hundreds of volunteers.
