Blackwood Legacy to perform at Hope United Methodist Church Jan. 24
Hope United Methodist Church in Cape Coral is going to come alive with the sounds of Southern Gospel music when the Blackwood Legacy comes to town Saturday, Jan. 24, at 6:30 p.m.
Smooth vocal harmonies, down-home country piano, a little bit of humor and lots of Gospel will make for a memorable evening together.
The Blackwood Legacy has an all-star lineup. Formed by group leader and bass singer Rick Price, the group has been in ministry for more than 15 uninterrupted years. Price began his more than 35-year career singing with the legendary Dove and Grammy-award winning Blackwood Brothers Quartet, eventually being inducted into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame with the group.
On baritone is Spokane, Wash.-native Luke Yates, a popular country and Christian recording artist and musician. Tenor singer Paul Secord was formerly a featured singer for Walt Disney World. The newest member, lead singer Hunter Sparkman, is a talented Christian recording artist based out of Nashville.
This Gospel jamboree is open to the public and there is no admission charge. A free-will offering will be taken.
Hope United Methodist is located at 2006 Chiquita Blvd., one-half mile north of Veterans Memorial Parkway in Cape Coral.
