The First Baptist Church of St. James City will hold its 5th annual seafood festival Saturday, Dec. 6, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

“I would like to invite everyone on Pine Island and Matlacha to join us for our 5th annual “Seafood Feast.” organizer Teri Clement said. “This event is open to the entire community and is absolutely free. We will have the freshest fish, shrimp, french fries, hush puppies, cole slaw and all the fixin’s – plus desserts, and beverages. For the kids there will be a bounce house and lots of other activities.”

Billy Cass and his band will be performing.

Last year, more than 400 people attended.

The event will be held on the church grounds at 3417 8th Ave. (the corner of Oleander and 8th Avenue). For more information, call the church at 239-283-0982.
