Meals on Wheels
Meals on Wheels of Cape Coral is in urgent need of drivers to deliver hot meals to housebound seniors in Cape Coral.
A commitment of two hours, once a week and a valid driver’s license is all that is required.
Routes are available Monday through Friday.
Drivers are needed even in a substitute basis to fill in should a regular driver be unable to do his or her route.

Cape Coral Special Populations
Cape Coral Special Populations, which serves the community’s developmentally delayed citizens, is in need of volunteers. They especially need musical volunteers at this time. Anyone who can play a piano, lead a sing-a-long or just play an instrument. Other areas of opportunity include helping with arts and crafts, bowling, games, dances and adult day training. Anyone interested should call the Friendship Volunteer Center at 275-4427.
Cape Coral Hospital
Cape Coral Hospital needs volunteers to assist with the operation of the gift shop and the thrift shop. Various duties for the gift shop include operating the cash register, assisting customers, placing items throughout the store, and delivering flowers, etc. Similar duties are required for the thrift store with the addition of receiving donations and pricing them. American Cancer Society
Help someone along the “Road to Recovery. ” Become an American Cancer Society transportation volunteer.
Lack of transportation is one of the biggest challenges for thousands of cancer patients. Many need daily or weekly treatment and they don’t have a car or are too ill to drive. The Road to Recovery program provides volunteer drivers to transport cancer patients to and from these life-saving cancer treatments.

Healthy Start
Healthy Start of Southwest Florida needs volunteers for clerical duties, assistance with special events and also needed as helping mothers with their prenatal program. Call the Friendship Volunteer Center at 275-4427 for details.
Wake Up America
Wake Up America has a need for volunteers to pick up groceries from participating markets. The groceries are dropped off at the distribution center on Central Avenue in Fort Myers. This takes less than two hours any morning between Monday and Saturday. Help is also needed at the Distribution Center to sort groceries.
