Alcoholics Anonymous

Food Addicts in Recovery Anonymous
Food Addicts in Recovery Anonymous is a 12-step program for individuals suffering from food obsession, overeating, under eating and bulimia. (No dues, fees or weigh-ins.)
The meeting are held at Cape Christian Fellowship, 2110 Chiquita Blvd. Sundays at 6:30 p.m.

Multiple Sclerosis support group
The Multiple Sclerosis support group meets the first Sunday of each month at Cape Coral Hospital, meeting room A (just off the main lobby) from 3 to 4:30 p.m. For information call Rick at 541-0268 or Kevin at 542-2549
The MS support group also meets at St. Hilary’s Episcopal Church, 5011 McGregor Blvd., corner of Colonial at 7 p.m., the third Thursday of every month. For information call 574-4271.

NAMI support groups

NAMI Connections is a support group for adults who have been diagnosed with any mental illness. Meetings:
Monday nights at Lee Memorial Hospital in med. room 2, from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
Tuesday nights at Lee Memorial Health Ruth Cooper Campus, 2789 Ortiz Ave., Fort Myers, from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
Thursday afternoon, United Way House, 1150 Cultural Parkway, Cape Coral, from 3 to 4:30 p.m.
Abuse Counseling and Treatment
ACT offers the following support groups:
Sexual assault support group-support groups and individual counseling for adult survivors of sexual assault/abuse. Domestic violence-support groups and individual counseling for adult victims of emotional, verbal or physical abuse. The 24-hour hotline is 939-3112.
Amputee Support Group
The Amputee Support Group meets Thursday, once a month at the 5th floor class room at Lee Memorial Hospital. Anyone interested in attending can call Bob Nagle at 464-6420.
This is a support group for recent or long-time amputees.
Healing Hearts
Healing Hearts – Coping with Loss After Suicide Support Group is an adult grief support group for those who have experienced the loss of a loved one through suicide. Meetings are held on the second and fourth Thursday of each month from 6 to 7:30 p.m .at Hope Hospice Administrative Office, 9470 HealthPark Circle, Fort Myers. Call 541-1151 for more information.
Man to Man
Many prostate cancer patients are helping each other through an American Cancer Society program called Man to Man. Man to Man volunteers hold free monthly meetings where men support each other. For more information call (800) 227-2345.
The New Voice Club
The New Voice club of Southwest Florida is a support group serving laryngectome survivors in Fort Myers, Cape Coral, Estero, Bonita Springs and Naples. The club meets on the first Friday of each month at 1 p.m. in the Medical Staff Conference room at Lee Memorial Hospital, 2776 Cleveland Ave., Fort Myers. For more information call 936-1113.
