Boat for Hope event planned
Cruise the Caloosahatchee in support of Hope Hospice. On Sunday, Nov. 15 from 11:30 to noon.
Boats for Hope Hospice assemble at the Cape Coral Yacht Club Pier. Travel down the Caloosahatchee to Tarpon Point Marina.
An awards ceremony and celebration will be at 2 p.m. at Tarpon Point Marina at 6095 Silver King Blvd.
By obtaining sponsorship donations from family, friends and co-workers, participating boats will raise money or Hope Hospice, a local agency that has helped so many families in Southwest Florida.
Minimum sponsorship is $100 per boat.
At the awards ceremony snacks will be served for the participants and prizes awarded for the top fund-raisers.
Tarpon Point Marina has donated food and their facilities on that afternoon.
The event is limited to 50 boats in order for each participating boat to have a reserved docking slip at the marina.
