Bikers for Babies
Harley-Davidson/Buell of Fort Myers announces they will be hosting the annual Bikers for Babies events, benefitting the March of Dimes. Events will take place Friday through Sunday, Oct. 30, to Nov. 1.
The weekend will kick off with Hog-O-Ween on Friday from 6 until 10 p.m. There will be costume contest and live entertainment by Boss Hawg and Backlash. Participants can also pre-register for the Bikers for Babies ride at that time.
On Saturday, activities will be happening from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. A Ronin super bike and trike show will run from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. with awards given at 2: p.m. Joe Vertical Dryden Stunt performances will run from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Evening activities will include the Big Kahuna Bed Race at 7 p.m. followed by the parade at 8 p.m. Finally, the Miss Bikers for Babies Finale Contest will take stage at 9 p.m. Live music will run throughout the day starting at 1:30 p.m. featuring DVS, A Matter of Faith and Rockstar.
Sunday is the ultimate Bikers for Babies event from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. Registration and lineup will take place at 9 a.m. at North Collier Regional Park, leaving promptly at 11 a.m. The ride will end at Harley-Davidson/Buell of Fort Myers where live music, food and awards will be on site.
The cost for the ride is $30 per rider and $20 per passenger. Fee includes a commemorative pin, activities, the ride and lunch. CCCIA invites you to Get Involved!
St. Jude will be holding its first Give Thanks Walk in our area to help raise awareness for the children of St. Jude and raise money for the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. The CCCIA is delighted to partner with St. Jude by participating as a corporate team sponsor at this local event with a global mission. The 5K walk will take place at Miromar Outlets on Nov. 21, with registration beginning at 7 a.m. and the program/walk beginning at 8 a.m. Volunteers are needed to join the CCCIA team and you are all invited and encouraged to do so. Trunk Show for Harry Chapin Food Bank
Nov. 14, is the date set for an “Open Car and Truck Show” at Victory Layne Chevrolet, Fowler, Ave., Fort Myers. The show is being held in conjunction with the Southwest Florida Corvette Club. Partial proceeds from the show will benefit the Harry Chapin Food Bank.
Gates will open at 8 a.m. for show cars to begin arriving, with judging of the vehicles starting at 11 a.m. The trophy presentation for different classes of vehicles will begin at 3 p.m.; 142 trophies and prizes will be awarded. The registration cost to enter each vehicle in the show is $20 prior to Nov. 9 and $25 the day of the show.
There is no charge for spectators to attend and they are encouraged to arrive after 10 a.m. Parking will be available on one of the dealership’s lots. Spectators are encouraged to bring cans of nonperishable food to be donated to the Harry Chapin Food Bank; cash donations will also be accepted. Harry Chapin volunteers will be on hand to accept the donations.
